Hi:

There is a new mbam-rules link: =>HERE<=

The link will download 1 zip file, where the name of the file is mbam-rules-YYYY-MM-DD.zip

Something to note:
There are 2 files now in the zip folder:
o Mbam-rules.exe
o Mbam2-rules.exe
They are specific to the version, so mbam-rules is for any MBAM 1.x installation, whereas mbam2-rules is for any MBAM 2.x installation.
In the future it will have a README included with instructions for users, but for now it is only the executables.

Having said that,
there is also free, expert malware-removal advice in a different area of the forum.
You might want to take advantage of that assistance.
If so, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
It explains the options for free, expert help >>AND<< the preliminary steps to expedite the process.
A malware analyst will guide you through the cleanup process.

Thanks,

Hi:

Alas, I don't have any control over that. :(

I'm just a home user and forum volunteer.

We'll need to wait for the staff to address that.

But it will always be several days outdated, as there is no feasible means to keep it 100% current with the 10 or more daily database updates.

FWIW, though, this is no longer the preferred way of getting MBAM installed on a heavily infected system.

The malware experts will have additional tools to use.

As long as you have internet access with another computer (as it seems that you do), they should be able to assist you with getting cleaned up.

The steps to do that are in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
It explains the options for free, expert help >>AND<< the preliminary steps to expedite the process.

If the affected/infected computer is too crippled even to run the preliminary scans, you can just start a new topic in the malware removal section anyway.
A malware analyst will help you.

Thanks again,
