While dealing with a recent case of junk-ware removal, I wonder why a Bart PE (or similar) disk hasn't crossed my path equipped with MBAM. exile360 Posted May 26, 2009 ID:83533 Share Posted May 26, 2009 No problem, it was a long debated issue and the developers were against it at first because it's likely to be abused by techs who don't want to pay for a technician's license but still reap the benefits (and profits) of using MBAM, particularly in a PE environment. The developers finally decided to assist in the creation of an official plugin to make sure it worked correctly and wouldn't create more problems than it would fix for those who use it. It gets expensive paying for software, especially on a yearly basis, but MBAM is so good at what it does I had to buy at least 1 home license. exile360 Posted May 26, 2009 ID:83538 Share Posted May 26, 2009 I think the bigger issue is that it's actually illegal to violate the EULA the way many tech's do when using tools that state that they're not to be used commercially without a proper license.
