Slow PC when running Malwarebytes

Hi,

 

Computer really slow when I have this software running.

If I stop it then computer seems OK again

 

Anyway have followed instructions and have attached the results of the scans

Would be grateful if someone could advise

Yep, I would agree.
Even for XP, a minimum of 2 GB of RAM is needed these days to run most "modern" software, not just MBAM.
You might check with the manufacturer to see if the motherboard can accommodate a RAM upgrade.
RAM is cheap, if the hardware will support it.
 
It also looks as if you are still running MBAM 2.0.2.1012.
It may not make a big difference, but perhaps a clean upgrade to 2.0.3 might help a bit.

And, you can try adding mbam exclusions in Avasr (see below).
 
Other staff and experts will likely have other suggestions.

Note: If you are using a software firewall besides the built in Windows Firewall, you'll need to exclude MBAM.EXE and MBAMSERVICE.EXE from it as well.

Note: Once that's done, please make sure that if either of those programs has any sort of web filter, that you add the following as a trusted site:

Seems pretty obvious now you mention it.

Will have use malwarebytes for occasional scan rather than running in background.
