Right-click scan of individual file(s)

I have new version but when I try to scan a single file from the right-click shell it just goes to the Malwarebytes main window. Previous version would do this, why not 2.0.3.1025 with current database?

Open MBAM. Go to "General Settings". Go to Explorer Context Menu Entry. Click "Yes". That shold take care of your problem. Good luck!

Thanks. I could have sworn that was set automatically in past versions, don't remember having to manually set it. If so, why?

I am sorry but I don't know the reason WHY. Hopefully, an MBAM Moderator will be able to answer that question. I am sorry those steps don't work for you. They did work on my system. You definitely need more advanced help.

That behavior had been seen with some earlier builds, on some systems, especially when upgrading on top of a previous version.

(@rwharold: it's unrelated to having "explorer context menu entry" scanning disabled or enabled.)

If rebooting your system doesn't resolve your issue:

• Please carefully follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
• If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and post back attached to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)

OK. Did the cleaner after uninstall of Malwarebytes, did clean reinstall of newest version and entered my registration, and right-click scan works now. Thanks for the advise...

P.S. Generally, the recommended practice is to run mbam-clean WITHOUT first uninstalling MBAM. However, if that sequence worked for you, that's fine.
