Help needed to disable ANNOYING notification when malicous website blocking is disabled

Recommended Posts

I can't seem to disable notification at startup

if i choose to disable Malicious Website Blocking.

It will always shows "Protection Disabled - One or more components of Protection are disabled. FIX IT!!"

The point is, I DON'T want to fix it!!!

I don't want to block Malicious Website, cos i use uTorrent and the Malwarebytes notifications are flashing incessantly and driving me crazy.

I remember this stupid startup annoyance was killed in 2.0.2.  Why the hell is it brought back in 2.0.3?

Can't people just have a choice of disabling Malicious Website Blocking without being warned at every startup?

I tried having notfications ENABLED and DISABLED, and also tried to set notifications to close automatically in 3 secs.  All with no luck!!!!

Please help, help help.

Thanks in advance :(

Hello and Welcome....

Currently notifications are all or nothing, that being said, the team is working on a future build that will give users more options as far as what notifications they can turn on or off.  Turning off web blocking is not a good idea.

If you want to keep using your uTorrent program and not have Malwarebytes notify you of all the blocks, you can just add the uTorrent.exe process into Web Exclusions.  This way you can continue to stay protected without the annoying popup notifications.

malicous website blocking is disabled! I know it, i did it on purpose. Please Fix.

Hi, and :welcome: , good2:

You have replied to a topic that is very old, and that is usually frowned upon. That being said...

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Each computer is unique.

Problems that sound "the same" most often are not.

The same is true for solutions.

They most often need to be individualized.

It is less confusing for everyone if we try to stick to "one user per topic".

Please start a NEW, SEPARATE topic using the cjfj.png button. (where we can help you in your own topic)
