unable to update

I have the same problem.  My database version is 2014.09.19.05 (I find it curious that another user who has this problem has the same version).  Whenever I try to manually do an update I get the message "Unable to Access Update Server".  I have the latest version of MBAM and have re-installed many times and nothing seems to help.  I've been using the product for many months now and this is a first.  I'm runing Win 7 PRO, 64-bit and have 8G of RAM and plenty (terra-bytes) of disk space.  Scanning seems to work fine but the database is getting old.  Eventually I may have to uninstlall this product and kiss my investment goodbye and hope NORTON 360 can fill in the gaps.
