Disabling autostart in unregistered version

Recommended Posts

Couldnt find any similar topic. The FAQ cover only the older version.

I used Malwarebytes occasionaly to scan the system so I had "autostart with Windows" option disabled. Versions prior to 2 allowed to change this option at will.

When version 2 arrived, I used the 14-day trial of the advanced features and had the programm autostart with Windows.

However when the trial ended and I wanted to disable Autostart, I saw that you had to register the application in order to do so. Had I known this earlier, I'd have disabled autostart during the trial.

Isnt there any other way around? When I used msconfig, there is no trace of Malwarebytes either in the startup programms or the services. So I have to wait for it to load and shut it down manually. Really annoying.

I use an old laptop and I'd like to have as few start-up programms as possible because they eat up memory and lengthen boot process.
