warning window of corrupt Malwarebytes-real or....?

Recommended Posts

I received a warning window that my Malwarebytes program was corrupt, asking me to download now a new version. This window looked like a normal Windows style dialog box. I then clicked 'Yes' but then thought better of it and shut down my computer, rebooted and opened my Malwarebytes. It was running with all protections on. I am currently scanning.

My question is, was this a spoof?

Scan has been running for over 2 hours now and so far I see nothing detected. Still very puzzled by this. No other events have led me to think my system has some problems/infections.

For those that still do need help please read the following which will get you fixed up if your issue is due to the recent bad rules database update

Malicious Website Protection disabled

If none of the steps corrects the issue then something else is going on with your system.

@BeeGeemb

That is a known bug that was fixed already and is available in the latest release of the program.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0.3 Released

You can download and install the latest version from this link
