MBAM PRO Malicious Website Protection Disabled

Recommended Posts

I upgraded my Pro to 2.0.3.1025 late yesterday on four of my home PCs....all upgrades went fine.

I went to sleep and had scan set for early morning.

When I woke up this morning I had all four machines say that the Malicious Website Protection was disabled.

I hit FIX and all four machines protection went back on.

As FYI, I have Avast v8, build 1497 installed.....scan runs at different time....one of four machines has V9 installed.

I also have CryptoPrevent installed in all machines.

All PCs are W7 64bit.....all up to date with Windows Updates, all very clean PCs.

Three of machines are DELLS.....different models, one HP.

Seems many others are having this problem fro other threads ?

If the posted solution didn't work, then there may be something else going on with your system.

  • Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
  • If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and post back attached to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
  • NOTE: There is an FAQ section with valuable information located here - Common Questions, Issues, and their Solutions

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

P.S. As this topic was started by a different user, and as each computer is unique, it will be less confusing to help you in your own thread. The mod team may split this off, so that both you and the OP can receive individual help.

Hello and :welcome: , @dragothica:

I was able to get Malicious Website Protection back running by enabling Self Protection (and Self Protection Early Start). Those have somehow been disabled, I expected they atleast were enabled previously. Also using MBAM Pro,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.
Each computer is unique.
Problems that sound "the same" most often are not.
The same is true for solutions.
They most often need to be individualized.

Moreover, this problem was fixed several hours ago.

It is less confusing for everyone if we try to stick to "one user per topic".
If you are still having a problem, please start a NEW, SEPARATE topic using this clickable cjfj.png button.
The staff and experts will be able to more easily provide both you and the OP with individual help to get you both up and running.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,
