sdk database load defaults failed with code 1812

Recommended Posts

Since a  few weeks I am getting this error:

---------------------------

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

---------------------------

SDKDatabaseLoadDefaults failed with code: 1812

---------------------------

OK

---------------------------

I've noticed that it keeps downloading the database because it thinks there is no database installed. It downloads the database without errors, but continues report a scan error "SDKDatabaseLoadDefaults failed". Plus the website protection is disabled.

I've uninstalled\re-installed, Rebooted, and tried various other trouble shooting efforts, but have yet to find a solution.

Please help

Hello Edwin08 and :welcome:

Your CheckResults.txt report must have been taken after you had uninstalled MBAM as the usual report is devoid of valuable system/MBAM details.

Thank You. :)

Hello Edwin08:

In looking over your diagnostic logs please do the following:

  • Please check, and correct if necessary, the computer/system date, time zone and local time for accuracy.
  • The last CheckResults.txt file was truncated and the second report from FRST (Addition.txt) was missing. Please delete C:\FRST, and FRST.exe, FRST.txt, and if present, Addition.txt from your desktop.
  • Please read the following and individually attach the 3 requested logs in a reply to this thread: Diagnostic Logs.
  • The 3 files, from Step 2, to be individually attached from your desktop are: CheckResults.txt, FRST.txt and Addition.txt. Please do not Copy and Paste them into a reply to this sub-forum thread.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. :)

Hello Edwin08:

Let's begin at step 1 by running a fresh mbam-clean-2.1.1.1001.exe twice during the Clean Removal Process, and then continue on to the fresh install of MBAM2. Please download & save fresh executables only from Malwarebytes' servers, and to C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop where I want you to single right-click these apps and Run as administrator.

If the issue repeats, please resume at step 2 running FRST.exe & mbam-check-2.1.1.1001.exe as above:

  • Please try the following and let us know if this corrects your issue: MBAM Clean Removal Process 2.x.

If possible, attempt to open the GUI, update the database, and run a Threat Scan.

  • If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and individually attach the 3 requested new/fresh logs in a reply to this thread: Diagnostic Logs.
  • The 3 files, from Step 2, to be individually attached from your desktop are: CheckResults.txt, FRST.txt and Addition.txt.
  • Also, please attach the appropriate Daily Protection Log, exported to a text (.txt) file (not XML), showing the issue's errors.

Reference: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Users Guide - Application Logs

Please do not Copy & Paste, compress or upload any files to a 3rd party public file server in your reply.

Please let us know the status of your issue in a reply to this sub-forum thread.

Thank You. :)
