YourFileDownloader infection, please help

Recommended Posts

So for a few weeks this YourFileDownloader has been reappearing in my MalwareBytes scans, despite fixing with MWB, uninstalling unknown programs and deleting folders from Program Files.

Typically I run 5 programs in this order: Rkill, Adwcleaner, JRT, MWB, and HitmanPro. Avast is my antivirus and I use CCleaner also.

From browsing this forum a little I got a headstart, I've run Farbar Recovery Scan Tool, Rougekiller, and ComboFix, WITHOUT taking any actions beyond scanning (except for ComboFix which seems to have deleted a couple of things on its own).

Attached are the log files from those 3 programs. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Ok so after more digging:

I had a monitoring program CoreTemp installed, I think an exploit in that program might have been the issue.

This is the thread from Overclock.net that identified the issue:

At this point, MWB and Rougekiller are not finding any infections. I will run through my suite of programs again and reinstall Avast, then post results.

Welp, I am confident that CoreTemp was the source of the problem.

At this point, Rougekiller, MWB, Adwcleaner, Avast, all showing no threats.

Also my temperatures and RAM usage have returned to normal, they had been slightly increased the past few weeks.

Everything seems fine for now. If someone could confirm this at there leisure, would be much appreciated.
