I have Anti Expolit as it appeared to get rid of pop ups when I had the trial version

 

Now I have a licenced copy they are back.

 

Was it a coincidence that Anti Exploit appeared to get rid of them when on trial but something else did it?

 

Did I buy the wrong version of Malware?

 

The pop ups are driving me mad and I assume they should not be there and are just another way of Google or Firefox to make advertising money

Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit does not have a trial version. Are you sure we are talking about the same product?

 

When you talk about popups you mean like advertising popups in the browser?

Yes- annoying advertisong pop-ups that appear all over the page and also highlight words in text and try to take you to other pages

 

Perhaps I have purchased the wrong version of Malware- the 'trial' version of Malware worked well

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium does include a feature called IP Blocking which may have blocked some of the annoying ads over time. But it is not a dedicated ad-blocker. For that I suggest you search for and install the browser add-ons "AdBlock Edge" and/or "Ghostery" which will get rid of annoying ads.
