PUPs deteted after installing Amazon 1Button App for Chrome

I am a big Amazon shopper, so decided to go to the Chrome Store and install this Amazon 1Button App for Chrome.

After doing this, my next MBAM scan showed all these PUPs. I'm just wondering if I can go ahead and add a rule for them, or if I should actually quarantine them. It doesn't seem to me like Chrome would put an app out there that had a bunch of bad stuff attached to it, but that's what I'm asking the forum.

I have attached a scan log.

Hi Nikilet,

Thank you for reporting.

This should be fixed in the next database update.

Sometimes the Google app store does have extensions that end up being PUPs that have no other purpose other than to burden you with advertisements.

Best to look at the reviews if available on the extension you are interested in, its description (so you know what it is going to do) & I usually also research the extension name to see if Google shows a pile of results for people needing help to remove, a lot of removal guides, etc.

Stay safe & have a great day!
