Malwarebytes error in a virtual machine

Hi all.

 

I just installed a fresh download of Malwarebytes into a Windows XP-SP3 virtual machine created with Oracle Virtual Box.

 

Can't get past this error:

SDKDatabaseLoadDefaults failed with code: 2

 

AVG Free declares the VM to be clean.

 

Before I waste any time trying to sort out something that won't work, is there any reason why Malwarebytes wouldn't work in a VM?

 

I have several applications installed into the VM, it has network and Internet connectivity, and to all intents works just like a real PC.

Hello and

Fully disable AVG and download a new installer using this method. Make sure AVG is fully disable during install and initial updates of MBAM

• Please uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest version. MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
