SDKDatabaseLoadDefaults failed with code:2

Recommended Posts

My search for this topic came up with a thread that wasn't resolved and 'locked' so I couldn't participate on furthering the knowledge to solve this problem.  So, I'm posting a new thread with the same topic.

I'm using Windows 7 64bit. I have removed Malwarebytes using the clean removal tool on the web site.  I have disabled my antivirus software (ESet NOD 32 Antivirus 7). I still get that error.

I'm using the paid premium version 2.0.2.1012.  MBAM worked fine the first day I installed it (3 days ago) but now it can't do any scans because this error comes up everytime.

Is there somethign I can do to get MBAM working again?

The other post with this topic title mentioned: Just out of curiosity, are you logging in via RDP to an account with administrator privileges?

I have no idea what RDP is, so, I don't think RDP in involved with my particular issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and :welcome:

  1. Please uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest version. MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
  2. If that does not correct the issue then please read the following and post back the requested logs. - Diagnostic Logs
  3. NOTE: There is an FAQ section with valuable information located here: - Common Questions, Issues, and their Solutions

Thanks for the reply.  I did the steps in your post above.  That marks the 3 time I have gone through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling MBAM.  I am still getting the same error (Code: 2)

I have enclosed the 3 diagnostic logs per your request.

Thanks for your assistance in helping me with this issue.

The logs indicate that the computer is probably infected. It also has some services that are not working correctly and issues writing data.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.

Basically post those same logs into the other forum (we don't do malware removal in this section of the forum) and wait and someone will assist you.

Thanks
