A1ex Posted September 23, 2014 ID:882306 Share Posted September 23, 2014 I'm running MBAE 1.03 on Win8.1 and when I run the latest version installer to update to 1.04 I get an error message 'Unable to execute file in the temporary directory. Setup aborted.Error 5: Access is denied' I'm running Cryptoprevent, but removed all protection to no avail. Anyone got any ideas? Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

A1ex Posted September 25, 2014 Author ID:882988 Share Posted September 25, 2014 I checked everything I could think of with no success, then I restarted in safe mode (amazed to find F8 worked while booting, like it used to in W7).Installed/updated MBAE ok then, so I must have had a conflict with something else.
