Quarantined PUPs

Recommended Posts

C:\Users\myname\appdata\roaming\................

I have quarantined a few PUPs which were found in the above file.

Is this file part of the Firefox profile?

If it is: Once these have been quarantined does that mean they have been removed for good from my Firefox profile and I can continue to use my profile?

They won't be able to come back?

Thanks

Open the Malwarebytes Program

Click on History Tab (on top right)

Click on Application Logs

Find the log you want to view and highlight it and click on the View Button.

In the window that pops up, on the bottom left you have the choice to Export.

You can also just copy it to the clipboard and then paste it in your next reply....

I had this browser search hijack pup about a week ago and quarantined it using malwarebytes.

I then restarted and did another scan and it came up clean.

I decided to do another scan today and it found all the entries you see in the attachment.

I now shows Google Chrome as having the search hijack.

Could this browser search hijack have come from the Chrome browser - I only use it occasionally.

My default browser is Firefox.

OK being that the infection has returned, it would be best to have an expert take a deeper look...

Being that you are probably infected, feel free to follow the instructions below to receive free, one-on-one expert assistance in checking your system and clearing out any infections and correcting any damage done by the malware.

Please see the following pinned topic which has information on how to get help with this: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers

I have also run:

boot scan of Avast - results came back clean.

Roguekiller - results came back clean.

Adwcleaner - results came back clean.

Superantispyware - apart from some tracking cookies it was clean.

Could it have something to do with my restore points?
