Cannot open Malwarebytes

Thank you for your reply to my comment.

I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to run my anti-malware program.  My IT person told me this program is both an anti-virus and anti-malware software.  I hope he is correct as I have no other program currently installed for those purposes.

As I stated initially, I cannot get the program to open, by either clicking on the desktop icon or by going to programs, Malwarebytes, and open button.  Nothing happens at all.

I went to you website and ran the Chameleon steps and go no results.  What do I need to do now?"

Alas, your IT person is misinformed. 

MBAM never was and is not an anti-virus (AV), nor is it a substitute for one: Does Malwarebytes Anti-Malware replace antivirus software?

It is designed to run alongside an AV to provide complementary, layered protection against the zero-hour and zero-day threats often missed by the AVs.

 

In any event, since you are having a problem running MBAM, let's please start with these steps:

• Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
• If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and post back attached to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
