Unable to open malwarebytes, have used chameleon software without success

Recommended Posts

If anyone can help I would be really grateful. I haven't been able to open my anti-malware software for the last week or so. I tried uninstalling and downloading the software again, but this has not helped. I have run chameleon 1-13 and I am still unable to open the software. What should I do next?

Hi,

I followed all of the instructions on the diagnostics log link. However when I tried to download mbam-check.exe, a black box would open up on the screen as with the previous two logs, but it was completely empty, nothing happened. I tried downloading it several times without success. I've attached the two logs that I did get.

Hi:

Preliminary review of your logs shows possible malware evidence, crashing services, etc.
It will likely require a deeper look at the system and the use of tools/scanners that aren't permitted in this section of the forum.

So, for expert assistance, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
It explains the options for free, expert help >>AND<< the preliminary steps to take to expedite the process.

>>As you have already run FRST, you just need to start a new topic -- with these same logs -- in the malware removal section of the forum.
A malware analyst will guide you through the scanning & cleanup process.  Your helper will assist you with getting MBAM up and running.

Thanks,

Hello and :welcome: , @pingley:

Sorry to hear you are having issues.
Each computer is unique.
Problems that sound "the same" most often are not.
The same is true for solutions.
They most often need to be individualized.

It is less confusing for everyone if we try to stick to "one user per topic".
Please start a NEW, SEPARATE topic using this clickable cjfj.png button.
The staff and experts will be able to more easily provide both you and the OP with individual help to get you both up and running.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,
