Spam Tabs, Too many things running (per task manager)

Example - I type in a google search for "malwarebytes" and when I click on your website a new tab opens up that I know is obviously spam/junk.  Your tab opens up too, but I have to exit out of the junk tab 1st so I can get back to the malwarebytes tab.  PC locks up quite often and when I go to task manager, there are a million (ok a lot) of things running.  I don't know what to close or maybe delete because something has infected my pc.  Also, these weird sale items pop up from different sides/top of a web page and you have to "x" them to get them to hide.  I want these gone too!!  I don't know where they came from.  I need help to fix this.
