problems with Key

Recommended Posts

Hello I as wondering if I could get some help. I paid for my malwarebytes back in April of this year and placed it on my desktop and my husbands desktop. He had to do a reinstall due the it not accessing the datebase this evening. I gave him the ID and Key again and he entered it and it green check marked the ID but says Key is invalid. I wondering if there is something we need to do to get it paid version back on his desktop.

                          Thank you for any help.

Hello:

Nearly all of such errors are caused by entering the wrong alphanumeric characters, or adding spaces before or after the character strings.

It says 'Invalid license information' when I try to activate the software.

If it installed OK on the 1st rig, then that would suggest that the license ID/key themselves are fine and not blacklisted.

If you purchased the program on a CD, you'll need to type in the info from the license ID/key manually into the fields on the computers.

If you purchased online, then you can copy/paste the info from the confirmation email that was sent at the time of purchase.

License is XXXXX-XXXXX (no extra spaces)

Key is XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (no extra spaces).

The only other thing that comes to mind: Are you sure this is a new, Premium, 3-PC, subscription license, rather than a "legacy", 1-PC lifetime license?

If none of that resolves your issue, then I would suggest directly contact consumer support here: Contact Consumer Support

We here in the forum don't have access to license info or the ability to directly resolve such issues here.

But the help desk should be able to sort it out.

In the interim, you can use the 14-day Trial on the other computers.

Thanks,
