reinstalled after error E06D7363 Question about liscense

Recommended Posts

New laptop in June  (Windows 8) and re-installed malwarebytes premium and paid for the year, then it wouldn't ever update.  Did an uninstall/re-install a couple of times while I was overseas.  Noticed it was still not updating and scanning this morning.

I followed the forum on the "Internal Error E06D7363" and followed the instructions.  The new install from that download gave a new license number without the key visible.

I have the license # and Key that I purchased in June.  Do I need to change the license and key on this version? will that cause any problems (ie revert to the older version?).

Thanks!

OK not sure where you may have gotten the other serial number, but if its not yours and you want to install it and activate it using the ID and KEY that you purchase, then you need to perform a clean install of Malwarebytes as mentioned below.

Please uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x

Thank You,

Ok, thanks for the help.  The download for MBAM was directly off of the forum on the error message "Internal Error E06D7363" mentioned previously.

I will uninstall and re-install and then use the activation ID and Key from my purchase in June.  Just thought it was a little strange that it didn't even ask for that info.

Thanks again!

Ah, got it sorted.   Forgot that we had purchased 3 premium MBAMs for the different laptops in the family.  In reviewing the instructions to uninstall, it triggered the memory that we might have more than one ID/Key in our emails-- I found the e-mail records of the other two and located a matching ID #.  The ID I had thought was mine was for my husband's laptop.

Thanks for your help!
