Is my PC safe, DNS server entry slip up

I made a typo when I was interning the Open DNS servers on my Netgear router set the wrong addresses but the odd thing is I was able to surf the web but with unstable connections and some domains wouldn't even load although eventually my Netgear router seemed to reset back to the default DNS settings but it appears the addresses I interred might not be valid DNS servers.

 

So I'm trying to determine if one of the entries I had my router might have loaded any infections to my PC.

 

I interned 222 resolver1 and 220 resolver1 instead of 208 the rest of the addresses I interred correctly.

 

I'm not noticing any major bugs or much of anything that screams infection but I want to be sure. Plus any bugs might be do to unstable patches for Windows 7.

We can't work on malware diagnostics and removal in this sub-section of the forum.

So, if you think you might be infected, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
It explains the options for free, expert help >>AND<< the preliminary steps to take to expedite the process.
A malware analyst will guide you through the scanning process and any needed cleanup.

I did immediately after I did a cold reboot, but the official Open DNS settings don't work for some reason (WNR100). So I switched back to my old router which has the OpenDNS settings on it.

I wasn't sure where to post this odd problem I've setup Open DNS numerous times before without difficulty. I'll take your good advice here and follow those steps.

 

But at the very least could someone please help me figure why my new Netgear WNR1000 disconnects from the internet every time I attempt to use OpenDNS on it?

Double check that you are putting in DNS entries for DHCP distribution and not for the WAN address.

Well I've alsways used the internet setup option for Open DNS unless this method is no longer valid on newer Netgear routers?

That's similar to the WNR2000

 

That's for WAN.  The ones I have setup (WNR2000v2 and WNR2000v4)  have three DNS entries.  I use two ISP DNS servers and the third gets Google (8.8.8.8).

 

The LAN Setup doesn't provide entering your own DNS Servers for distribution.  Therefore you either must statically set OpenDNS IP addresses on each LAN node or you'll have to provide at least one ISP DNS server in the WAN Setup.  Some ISPs require the WAN interface use their DNS Servers.

OK that might explain why I'm unable to connect to the web when I set OpenDNS on my new router. Oddly I have no problems with this setup on my old Netgear router which was recommended by OpenDNS when I originally created an account with them, but this is a newer model Netgear I'm trying to setup now which must have different policies.
