Random files open when I'm away from my PC

I thought it was just my imagination, but when I leave by PC for 15 minutes or longer and come back, if I left Word open, then a random file of mine will be open; it can be any file depending but it does not have to be from a program that I left running; Usually it will be emails or a word processing file that will be open on my PC.  Browsing does not appear to be affected.  Could this be malware?

Please read the following and post back attached to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
