Malicious websites and Task-Eng at start-up

Hello!

 

I need some help. Whilst downloading a file, I neglected to pay attention and also received some free malware with the download. Now when I start-up the computer, a task-eng black screen pops up, along with 'There was a problem starting \appdata\local\vvubjer.dll\ and 'can not find file xxxxx' windows.

 

I have installed and ran malwarebyte, and removed the quarantined files. However, the 'malicious website blocked' is constantly popping up.

 

As per the instructions, I've attached the FRST Scan and Addition .txt files.

 

Also, I'm not sure which details will be useful to you at the moment, so instead please request any further info.

That being told, if any evidence of illegal OS, software, cracks/keygens or any other will be revealed, any further assistance will be suspended. If you are aware that there is this kind of stuff on your machine, remove it before proceeding!
The same applies to any use of P2P software: uTorrent, BitTorrent, Vuze, Kazaa, Ares... We don't provide any help for P2P, except for their removal. All P2P software has to be uninstalled or at least fully disabled before proceeding!

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:
 
Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

• Right-click on icon and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.
  (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
• Press the Fix button just once and wait.
• If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
• When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save the file to your desktop.

• Right-click on icon and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.
• Follow the prompts and click Scan.
• When finished, please click Clean.
• Upon completion, click Report. A log (AdwCleaner[s*].txt) will open.

Please include the contents of that file in your reply.

Do not run ComboFix on your own!
 
Referring to this instruction, please download ComboFix by sUBs and save it to your desktop.
Temporary disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware protection - instructions here.

• Right-click on icon and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.
• Accept the disclaimer and agree if prompted to install Recovery Console.
• Do not take any actions while ComboFix goes through your System - it may cause it to stall!
• This scan may take some time!
• When finished - it will display a logfile (located also on your main drive, usually C:\ComboFix.txt).

Include that log in your next reply.
If you'll encounter any issues with internet connection after running ComboFix, please visit this link.
If an error about operation on the key marked for deletion will appear after running the tool, please reboot your machine.

It's a lot better, thanks! The windows and boxes at start-up have gone now. However, the Blocked Malicious Websites box is still popping up with less frequency. Also, I noticed when I shut down, the screen does a weird flash for a few secs, then the force shut down screen comes up with a blank list of programs. - not sure if it's important?

 

 

I've managed to disable AVG program and firewall, but unfortunately I seem to be having a problem with Microsfoft Security Essentials. I've followed the instructions and un-ticked the 'Turn on real time protection', but I still get the warning box that the real time scanners for Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus and antispyware is still active.

 

Should I proceed?

Multiple Resident Protection warning!
 
Always have one (and no more than one!) AntiVirus program! In this case having more of them will not provide you with better protection - instead they may cause slowness, lock-ups and even mark another ones as harmful, leading to leave your system unstable and even damaged. Please choose only one from the listed below to stay with and uninstall the others:

• AVG
• Microsoft

Uninstallation procedure:

• Press the + R on your keyboard at the same time. Type appwiz.cpl and click OK.
• Search for each uninstalled entry, right-click it and select Uninstall.

This should be done until any other steps will be taken.

The 'Malicious websites blocked' box popped up a few times when I switched the computer on again. Also, the weird flashing thing still happened when I shut down.

However, every time I try to export the log from the MalwareBytes program a box pops up to say that the program has stopped working with the options to 'check online for a solution', or 'close the program'

same thing still seems to happen when I shut down. When I re-booted the computer about 10 'website blocked' boxes popped up. Left the computer runnign for about ten minutes and doesn't seem to have happened since - is this normal?

When is it happening. When you visit websites or while idle? Does it say inbound or outbound? Please attach latest Protection Log.

It happens when I'm idle and visitng websites - although I've mainly only been on this forum and the sites you have linked. they say outbound.

That's weird that it doesn't show them. They've been popping up a lot more since I logged in this time. also, I got a security warning at start up. I've screen shotted it incase it's important
