Malwarebytes (2.0.2.1012) taskbar icon showed a problem this morning.  Clicking showed that realtime protection was disabled.   Protection was re-enabled with fix now button.  Looking at today's and yesterday's logs showed that malware protection stopped yesterday and malicious website protection stopped this morning.   Malwarebytes is setup to update hourly and scan daily.

Hi:

FWIW, protection does stop (VERY briefly) during a database upate (in most cases, though, the user wouldn't notice without checking the protection logs).
That is normal.
Occasionally, users report protection turning off for any number of reasons, especially on older, slower systems.
A system reboot (restart of the computer) often resolves that, unless the computer is infected or experiencing other software/hardware problems.

If you are still having issues, then I would suggest the following:

  • Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
  • If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and post back attached to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
  • NOTE: There is an FAQ section with valuable information located here - Common Questions, Issues, and their Solutions

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
