Malwarebytes pro attacking Norton 360

Recommended Posts

Help, Malwarebytes pro attacking Norton 360.

I've posted once before on this problem.

The Norton 360 Check Security History is full of listings

stating, blocked Malwarebytes.

There are so many listings that I can't use Check Security History in Norton 360

to check the normal history. I can delete this file in Norton 360

five times a day and still more blocking Malwarebytes.

Please post the malwarebytes exclusions list for Norton 360 to avoid this

conflict. I have entered every file and folder  and directory of the Norton 360 program

in the Malwarebyte exclusion list with no effect.

The Norton Security History list grows every 2 minutes.

Hi:

In order to exclude Norton in MBAM's Malware Exclusions, please refer to the attached screen shot as an example (it shows a different AV, but it illustrates the concept).
The MBAM files to exclude in Norton are listed below.

EDIT: if that doesn't resolve your issues, it might help to see a bit of information about the system.
Please read the following and post back attached to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt) >>>If you have run FRST on this system before, please place a check-mark in the option for "Addition.txt" before running it.

Thanks,

P.S. The mod team might merge this topic with your original one (here), to reduce confusion/repetition/clutter. No worries, though. ;)

Please exclude the following files from your Antivirus Software for your version of Windows:

For 32 bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 & Windows 8:

  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamdor.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbampt.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamscheduler.exe

For 64 bit versions of Windows Vista or Windows 7 & 8:

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamdor.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbampt.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware \mbamscheduler.exe

Note: If you are using a software firewall besides the built in Windows Firewall, you'll need to exclude MBAM.EXE and MBAMSERVICE.EXE from it as well.

Note: Once that's done, please make sure that if either of those programs has any sort of web filter, that you add the following as a trusted site:

data-cdn.mbamupdates.com
