Malwarebytes can't find browser redirecting malware: aperture.displaymarketplace.com

Recommended Posts

Both Firefox and Chrome on my work computer started to redirect to aperture.displaymarketplace.com randomly a few hours ago. This is a strictly work computer, so only safe software is installed, no visits to any non work sites, no executables downloaded etc.

I've tried Malwarebytes anti malware and it says all is fine. I've also tried Malwarebytes anti rootkit and it did not find anything. There is something that is redirecting my clicks on a random basis but I can't find it.

Did anybody encounter this? Google searches bring mostly recent results. This looks like a new one. A big problem for me since the last thing I want is my work computer to have malware! I've attached my scan results, which are clean as you can see. mbytes-scan.txt

Any ideas? Suggestions? I'd gladly buy a premium version of Malwarebytes if that would help.

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes

First off being that this is a work computer, you should have your IT staff fix it.

Second, if you are using Malwarebytes in a work environment it needs to have a business license. You can seek help for business licenses HERE or contact business support by filling out a support ticket HERE

That being said, and if you not going to contact support, and since you are infected, feel free to follow the instructions below to receive free, one-on-one expert assistance in checking your system and clearing out any infections and correcting any damage done by the malware.

Please see the following pinned topic which has information on how to get help with this: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers

Thank you
