Malwarebytes found something in a nif file that was in the trash

I do think it is a false positive and the link you just posted is not a place to report anything. 

It seems you are determined that I have this virus when I do not. I checked the registry and the windows folder "Updater"

NOTHING is there.


I'm not sure how else I can say this.

They are spread manually, often under the premise that the executable is something beneficial. Distribution channels include IRC, peer-to-peer networks, newsgroup postings, e-mail, etc.



An NIF file is a Gamebryo Model File, developed by Gamebase.

The NIF format is used by many popular games based on the NetImmerse/Gamebryo Game Engine such as Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim.
