MBAM not working

I downloaded the free trial of MBAM several months ago on my laptop because my homepage changed, pop ups etc. After running MBAM, laptop seemed to work fine. Then a few weeks later started getting message "MBAM has stopped working". Then the free trail ran out. I then bought my son a gaming desktop for his birthday from Best Buy along with MBAM Premium. We downloaded MBAM on his gaming pc immediately, which is doing great. I then done an uninstall on my laptop and installed MBAM Premium using the CD. After downloading MBAM premium, I still got the same message "MBAM has stopped working". I then ran the chameleon, all 13 scans and still had same problem. Then I downloaded and ran MBAR, the rootkit tool. The scan said no maleware detected and didn't get a "clean up" option, so I went ahead and  ran the fixthedamage.exe anyway. MBAM still won't run and I keep getting the same message saying that MBAM has stopped working. Any suggestions???????

We are disappointed to read your system is having issues. Each computer is unique. Problems that seem "the same" most often are not.

The same is true for solutions. They most often need to be individualized.
