Possible Windows 8.1 installation malware?

Hello!

 

Guys I didn't realy know where to post this, but I want to ask you.

My PC was infected, I want to format my HDD.

As base I want to install Win 8.1 Pro (it's in iso image). The iso image is saved on my infected PC and I want to install it to my flash drive through Rufus.

So I'm asking you is it often that a Windows installation image gets infected? As while I install it to USB or later?

Without deep through analisys of my PC I want to know is there a virus out there that could infect an Win 8.1 installation iso image?

 

P.S. For details - I was infected by a bitcoin miner when I downloaded a game (Through torrents but I had an official version avaliable). The miner I deleted without antivirus (single handedly deleted location of files).

Though I found an unexpected cmd and firefox.exe launch with spam last week. Seemingly it was unrelated with previous.

An Iso is an image file so it would be very hard to infect the file.
