Malwarebytes Turned Off Symantec Systems

While cleaning up slow-running computers, we installed Malwarebytes. It seems to have disabled the control panel for Symantec Endpoint Protection. 

As far as I can tell, there are no viruses, and the Symantec is still running properly. The services that the Symantec SymHelp software says need to be turned on are not listed in the services list. 

 

Has anyone ever had this problem? I'd like to uninstall/reinstall the Symantec, but for various complex reasons, I don't have access to the software at this time. I'd appreciate any help. I'm not very

experienced with this stuff, but I'm all we've got right now.  Thank you!!

Sounds like this is a business, if in fact this is a business, you need to seek help in the business section of the Forum HERE

 

The consumer version of Malwarebytes v2.0.2.1012 (which is the section of the forum you posted in) is not intended to be used in a business environment as that is against the EULA, the current version of Malwarebytes for business is version 1.7x.

 

That being said, I have not heard of Malwarebytes disabling any items in Symantec Endpoint Protection (at least not on my computers as I use this antivirus myself)

 

Go ahead and post in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Business section and they will help you sort it out.

 

This topic may be moved to the business section by one of the MOD's or ADMIN's if in fact your are in a business.

I use it too on my wife's computer now for going on 3 years now and never had an issue with it.
