Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium and Outlook

I don't personally use Outlook, but I'm not familiar with the problem you describe. :(

And we haven't seen (m)any similar reports in a long, long time.....

 

 

When it is downloaded it will not allow Outlook to "Send and Recieve"

 
Do you mean that when you have the paid version of MBAM 2 Premium installed and running, with real-time protection active, you cannot send or receive mail with Outlook?
Or something else?
 
If you could please provide us with a bit more information, we might be able to better assist you.

  1.  First, what is the exact text of any error message you might see (a screen shot would be even better)?
  2. Next, what happens if you disable the MBAM realtime protection OR uninstall MBAM completely -- are you able to send and receive mail?
  3. Finally, it would help if you could please read the following and post back attached to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)

We may need a bit more information later (e.g. how your email accounts are set up), but this should help to start the troubleshooting.

I am having this problem at the moment.  I can receive email but cannot send anything.  I keep getting a message that I cannot connect to my server even though I am connected.  This appears to have only started after loading MBM Premium.  The rest of my system seems OK and it only this.  My email just hangs and I have not been able to use outlook for the past few days so I am stuck without email.  Your help would be appreciated,  Note that I am but a humble user and not all that tech savvy.

This is a very old topic, based on an older, long-outdated version of MBAM. :(
 
We aren't currently seeing any similar reports of this behavior (at least here in the forum), with the current version, 2.1.8.1057.
 
So, let's get a bit of basic system info, to try to determine what's going on.

 

First:

What happens if you temporarily pause MBAM real-time protection (system tray icon > right-click > exit)?

Are you able to connect to your email server successfully or not?

 

Next:

Please read the following and attach to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
