Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Help

Recommended Posts

Hi - this is my first post

I've been having a few problems with my computer lately and was told this is the place to come if I need help. I've tried doing some research of my own and haven't a clue what I am doing so here goes....

I keep getting a pop up saying:

the page at 69.162.111.227 says

It is recommended that you update java to the latest version, to view this page please update to continue, when i close the page it automatically starts a download...even though i have the latest version downloaded....
I then read to uninstall all antiviruses so I uninstalled my Norton antivirus and my malwarebytes anti malware (haven't used both in at least 12 months) I had to remove my malwarebytes through a link someone posted on this forum as when i tried uninstalling through my control panel i kept getting messages saying 'the setup files are corrupted please obtain a new copy of the program' and 'invalid procedure call or argument'

I then downloaded malwarebytes (again through a link someone posted on here) I ran a scan and halfway through my screen went black and stayed like this for 30 minutes, so I rebooted my computer and scanned again in safe mode with networking and halfway through the scan disappeared. So now im at this point and haven't got a clue what to do...PLEASE HELP!

Hello and :welcome: , glamour34:

It does sound as if you may be infected.

We can't work on malware diagnostics and removal in this sub-section of the forum.

So, for expert assistance, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.

It explains how to get free, expert, one-on-one help with your issues.
A malware analyst will guide you through the cleanup process.

Thanks,
