Where is M.Bytes ?

Recommended Posts

Let's start with some routine troubleshooting:

  • Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
  • If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and post back attached to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)
  • NOTE: There is an FAQ section with valuable information located here - Common Questions, Issues, and their Solutions

Please let us know how it goes.

She would have to search for  >file explorer< from the search box and look for it. I don't use tiles, but it is there. On the left end, bottom of the tiles area is a down arrow which brings you to all programs that are installed.

8.1 is a crazy animal

How can I set M.Bytes to automatically run it's updates ?

If MBAM 2.0 was/is newly installed on this new, 8.1 computer (thanks, @KenW ;) ), then hourly update checks and a daily threat scan ought be already configured by default.

Once you confirm that it is installed (or reinstall it, as advised in my earlier reply, if needed), if you need help with settings or configuration for MBAM 2.0, please post back with the requested Diagnostic Logs.

It will only take a few minutes to run them, and they will help us to better help you.
