Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has stopped working

Recommended Posts

Hi, everyone.

I just installed the trial version of malwarebytes anti-malware.

Everything started fine, I installed it, it found a few issues, fixed those issues. I played on the computer for a little while, finally turned the computer off.

Upon turning the computer back on, I got the following popup

Malwarebytes Anti-malware has stopped working, with the following 2 options;  Close the program or look online for a solution.

Here are the details;

Exception Code: c0000005

Exception Data: 00000008

OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

Locale ID: 1033

Additional Information

1: 0a9e

2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

3: 0a9e

4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

Is there something wrong with my download, version, etc?

This is the 1st time I have used malwarebytes and so far I am already having issues.

Thank You.

Did as you suggested, I ran MBAM Clean Removal Process 2.x and used the instructions under the "FREE VERSION" since this is what I have.

Will let you know if I have the "stopped working" error again.

Thank You!
