Windows Defender and Malwarebytes (free)

Apologies if the answer to this query lays elsewhere, but I'm hoping a quick answer might save time.

After foolishly (albeit inadvertently) downloading the Trovi Malware I think I may need to use your free Anti Malware Download.

But will it work happily with Windows Defender?

I know not all Anti Malware/Virus get along.

Most reviews I’ve read say these two do.

So would I be safe in doing so?

Yes Malwarebytes and Windows Defender will get along just fine, there are no known issues with them running together.

I actually closed my eyes and went for it anyway and it seems to have detected and cleared a 46 Malwares. Oddly though I now have a blank icon on my desktop saying "Continue VuuPC installation". When I Google that it suggests viruses!

Window Defender suspects nothing and I'm sure it wasn't there before I downloaded Malware bytes...

What is it?

Do I need it?

How do I get rid of it?
