Pup Infections; laptop very slow moving

Recommended Posts

Hello.

This is my first visit here.  I am here because I am afraid my laptop is infected.  My laptop is moving very slowly.

I am a subscriber to Malwarebytes Pro Version and have consistently been getting notification of pup infections but even though I send them to quarantine they keep coming.

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 5748; 64-bit; using Windows 8.1.

The PUP infection I keep getting refers to my user "app data" on Chrome Google.

If you require more information please let me know.  Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your patience in working with a new member of your forum

Hello and :welcome: , minou104:

We aren't permitted to work on malware diagnostics and removal in this sub-section of the forum.

But help is around the "cyber corner". :)

For expert assistance, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.

It explains how to get free, expert help in the malware removal section of the forum OR at the help desk.
A malware analyst will guide you through the scanning and cleanup process.

Thanks,

Dear Forum Deity:

My problems with my laptop worsened so I called DELL.

The service technician told me my problem was with my Hard Drive and helped me fix it.

I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused you but the issue appears to be resolved.

You may close this thread if you wish.

Thank you
