MBAM for Business - MSP and Licensing

Recommended Posts

I did try a search before posting. :)

We brought our first client on board with ten licenses of MBAM for Business, 1-year subscription.

Two questions arise with the license key we got.. still haven't heard back from sales.

One.. if a business grows to twice the size they are now.. how can I get more licenses?  They have what they need now.. but what about seven months from now.. or next week?  How do I get more added?

Two.. as an MSP, we would prefer to host the console here and have the agents check in.. and we have that with this one client thus far.

However, we may run into an issue where the next client onboards.. I don't think I can add a second license.

That may come back to the first question.. where we manage the license count.. but may need to adjust the seat levels as time goes on.  That would assume we bought all of the licenses ourselves and resold them or whatever.. less ideal but still doable.  We do like the results and the product enough to onboard more of our clients.. but trying to find and manage dozens of admin consoles on servers, IP PBX machines, or workstations would be problematic.

As an aside.. would be nice to just have a management site hosted by MB instead of us or on-prem.. and is the general trend these days.

Hello and :welcome: :

This is actually the "Consumer" section of the support forum.

But, have no fear. :)

We will ask the forum mod team to move this post to the "Business" section of the forum here: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/forum/111-malwarebytes-anti-malware-for-business/

That way, your inquiry will receive prompt attention from the appropriate team members.

Thanks for your patience,

Hi:

Welcome. :)

You wrote:

+1 to central multi-tenant management console for msps. Also I've read on the se forums about MBAM MSP Edition - is it the same as Business one?

As this is the "Consumer" area of the forum, I think your question might be more visible to the Business Support team members here, in the Business area of the forum??https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/forum/111-malwarebytes-anti-malware-for-business/

More info here: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/127390-malwarebytes-anti-malware-for-business-support/

Thanks very much for your interest,

P.S. The forum mod team might move this post to a new topic in the Business area of the forum.  No worries, though. ;)

Hi headcrap,

To add more endpoints/seats, please contact your sales representative, they will be able to provide you additional licenses.

For you other questions, I would also recommend bringing your concerns up with your sales rep or with our support team at https://www.malwarebytes.org/support/business/contact/.

Please PM me your contact info if you've reached out to either departments and haven't heard back within two business days.

Thanks,

Cecile
