After downloading MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Premium, I get the above message during the installation/setup phase.

 

What do I need to do next?

I have the abovce error and can't reinstal. THe advice given did not work in my case because there was no option to select "run as administrator" when right clicked on mbam-setup.exe

I uninstalled because the programme would not open. Now I cant reinstall.

Please help.

What is the version of Windows on your system?  Is Windows' User Account Control on or off?   If your Windows is Vista, Win7 or Win8 they must have User Account Control ON.    ( disregard if XP ).

Turn on User Account Control. See this MS article

For Windows 7
Go to Control Panel>> All Control Panel Items >>User Accounts
Click on Change User account control settings
