MBAE and EMET 5.0 TP No Problem

Recommended Posts

I've taken a different approach... as I'm not happy with EMET 4.x / 5.x requirement for DotNet 4, I'm still using older versions:  EMET 2.x on WinXP and 3.x on Win7.   Granted, they don't offer the newer protection introduced in version 4.x+ (such as SimExecFlo and ROP), but they also apparently don't generate a conflict with MBAE.   So for example, I have both EMET and MBAE protecting applications such as IE and FF.

And for one machine where I do run EMET 4.x, I have opted to disable individual mitigations (typically SimExecFlo) when I encounter a conflict, rather than removing all of EMET's protection for that application.

Just a comment... It's working for me.
