Hi,

I was unable to run a scan for a while. I then followed the instructions in topic # 153834 and was able to:

  1. + Run rkill.exe, please see Rkill.txt for results (it shows  c:\Windows\SysWOW64\srvany.exe (PID: 2784) [WD-HEUR]  as a process to terminate
  2. + Run mbam cleaner to delete the old program
  3. + Reinstall the latest version of MWB
  4. + Install and run the scan (it now works, see atached)
  5. + Run RogueKiller(TermThr)  PID=4284

MBAM now runs without detecting any errrors.

Do these results look ok?

Hello,

They call me TwinHeadedEagle around here, and I'll be working with you.

Before we start please read and note the following:

icon_arrow.gif Limit your internet access to posting here, some infections just wait to steal typed-in passwords.
icon_arrow.gif Please be patient. I know it is frustrating when your PC isn't working properly, but malware removal takes time.
icon_arrow.gif Don't run any scripts or tools on your own, unsupervised usage may cause more harm than good.
icon_arrow.gif Do not paste the logs in your posts, attachments make my work easier. There is a Attach Files option below which you can use to attach your reports. Always attach reports from all tools.
icon_arrow.gif Stay with me to the end, the absence of symptoms doesn't mean that your machine is fully operational.
icon_arrow.gif Note that we may live in totally different time zones, what may cause some delays between answers.
icon_arrow.gif Do not ask for help for your business PC. Companies are making revenue via computers, so it is good thing to pay someone to repair it.
icon_arrow.gif If I don't hear from you within 3 days from this initial or any subsequent post, then this thread will be closed.

icon_idea.gif I can't foresee everything, so if anything unexpected happens, please stop and inform me!
icon_idea.gif There are no silly questions. Never be afraid to ask if in doubt!

TwinHeadedEagle,

Thanks for the quick response. I did as requested, the files are attached.

A few notes:

1) Yesterday after reviving malwareBytes, I ran a scan and it did find some PUP's which I allowed Mbytes to delete, on the most recent scan it now appears to be clean see mbar-log -Latest.txt

2) Note, some time back I ran FRST64.exe and it created Addition.txt. I have attached, but note that this is from the first time I ran FRST back on July 8th, FRST.txt is from today.

3) I also included rkill.txt from when I ran rkill prior to reading your response

Thanks,

Jeff

PC looks clean, do you have some issues?

TwinHeadedEagle,

No issues that I'm aware of, I'm not sure if I never noticed before but during the early part of boot before Windows starts, I see a rotating "-", just does a couple of roations before Windows starts, I don't recall seeing that before? Perhaps I'm just paranoid now?

Jeff

Your thoughts on c:\Windows\SysWOW64\srvany.exe   should I delete this or keep it?

Click Run button and wait a few seconds for the programme completes his work.
At this point all the tools we used here should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:\DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
