David_B Posted July 30, 2014 ID:860364 Share Posted July 30, 2014 I have uninstalled MBAE and would like to delete the leftover folder located at C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit. For some reason though, whenever I try to delete it I am told that I need admin permissions even though I have them and have assigned myself folder ownership. Staff pbust Posted July 30, 2014 Staff ID:860535 Share Posted July 30, 2014 Yes that is most likely what is happening. MBAM with self-protection is enabled and you are using an old MBAE beta. David_B, the version of MBAE which installed under the same "roof" of MBAM data folder is an older version. The new version of MBAE available from our website has many bug fixes and does not install its data directory under the same roof as MBAM. Btw, moving this to the Questions sub-folder.
