I read a previous post on this topic and the support person solved this issue for the person who posted in 2013. I downloaded and started the Farbar recovery tool and it is scanning now. I assume by the other post that I have a backdoor trojan. Ill try to post the link to that topic. Unfortunately I'm using my phone to post this. (In the interim, I would suggest that you resist any urge to self-medicate or to try fixes customized for other users and other computers, especially from so long ago.
