Malwarebytes + Avast = problems?

Hello everyone, just created an account to try to solve some problems on my PC.

 

I have been always paranoic about virus, malware, etc. And I think there's something strange on my PC.

 

Security prograns on my PC:

- Malwarebytes (trial version)

- Avast (free version)

- Spybot (free version)

 

Before having the  Avast antivirus, I had the ESET Internet Security trial. The trial is now over and I searched for a good (and free) antivirus.

But, since the day that I installed the Avast antivirus, Malwarebytes stopped the real time protection (even if I turn it on Settings).

 

Looks like that Avast caused some problens here, or is a problem with malware?

 

(Will try now the clean install to see if it works now)

did you remove ESET before installing avast?

did you run ESET removal tool to clear any leftover files?

and you dont need SpyBot when you have Malwarebytes ..... SpyBot is not any good with todays malware

Just did the Clean Removal Process and looks like that the problem has been solved.

If the issue returns, I will try the step 1 again, and if it fails, step 2.

Great, glad that fixed it for you, if you like you can still post your logs for review, and as already mentioned, make sure your remove your ESET antivirus as well as any other software that is no longer needed/used.

Thanks for posting the logs, right off the bat, I can see you have some software that is questionable..

IObit Uninstaller (HKLM-x32\...\IObitUninstall) (Version: 3.2.10.2466 - IObit)

Surfing Protection (HKLM-x32\...\IObit Surfing Protection_is1) (Version: 1.0 - IObit)

Here is some info on the company known as IObit...

The company behind this product was found to be stealing Malwarebytes database.

Personally I would not trust installing any software from a company that resorts to stealing someone's technology to sell their product.

That was totally unespected, never knew about these informations.

But, I always used IOBit sevices because IMO it's the best "trash" removal, Didn't really used thew malware thing (for malware, always Malwarebytes)

 

Do you have another sugestion of a program that remove "trash" on the PC?

 

Also, is anything else wrong with my PC?

The "trash" removal is what the IObit program does, Registry fix, Privacy Sweep, Junk file clean (like the files from recicly bin), etc.

Registry cleaners are not needed nor recommended... See Do I need a Windows Registry Cleaner?

 

As for cleaning temp files CCleaner is pretty good at doing that....You can download it from HERE I usually download the Slim version as it will not install any extra toolbars and such....
