mnscout Posted July 20, 2014 ID:855208 Share Posted July 20, 2014 It began a few months ago. MBAMSERVICE .EXE often takes up to 80% CPU and 150K memory. Even when it doesn't, the lagging is so bad, it makes it difficult to type or fill up any form. I'm using Win XP and Chrome if it matters. I can't say whether if it started when I updated to a new version or not. When I exit MB and remove the process, everything is fine again. I have never had a problem with MB before. steve1290 Posted February 6, 2015 ID:937077 Share Posted February 6, 2015 I am also having this issue - running XP SP3, running MBAM Premium 2.0.4.1028, mbamservice.exe is consistently running above 200MB-250MB. It is the 2nd largest resource user after Firefox. Firefox and MBAM together are frequently causing low virtual memory issues on the machine. I have run Farbar and MBAM-check, and have the files, but they would not upload (upload skipped (Error IO)). How should I proceed?
Firefox Posted February 6, 2015 ID:937108 Share Posted February 6, 2015 Hi, and , steve1290: Sorry to hear you are having issues. Each computer is unique. Problems that sound "the same" most often are not. The same is true for solutions. They most often need to be individualized. It is less confusing for everyone if we try to stick to "one user per topic". Please start a NEW, SEPARATE topic using the button. (where we can help you in your own topic) The staff and experts will be able to more easily provide both you and the OP with individual help to get you both up and running. Thanks for your patience and understanding, Firefox
Porthos Posted February 6, 2015 ID:937123 Share Posted February 6, 2015 I also want to chime in... You are struggling for free disk space. Firefox Posted February 6, 2015 ID:937135 Share Posted February 6, 2015 Porthos This topic is from way back in Jul 2014, I am sure that mnscout (original poster) is either no longer monitoring this topic or has had the issue resolved. Furthermore, the free space does not apply to steve1290 which hijacked this topic, this is why I asked steve1290 to start their own topic to give them an opportunity to have their logs reviewed once they are posted. Thanks for you comments though...
