hello,

i have an extension, xscBrwse 3.5.6 in Chrome, that i cannot delete. I have tried various malware deleting programs, including Malwarebytes Anti-malware, but none have worked. I have followed the instructions and run Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and have attached both logs.

I guess that means my security is not good enough. I'm now considering installing and running avg free instead..

Many thanks for your help in advance,

Luke

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes

As for your security is not being good enough.... You have more than one antivirus running at one time which is not a good idea, this can cause conflicts and cause your system to have issues. You will have to uninstall all but one of them.

That being said, your computer is infected, and you will need to seek help in a different section of the forum as mentioned below. They will also help you with your security software there as well.

Being that you are infected, feel free to follow the instructions below to receive free, one-on-one expert assistance in checking your system and clearing out any infections and correcting any damage done by the malware.

Please see the following pinned topic which has information on how to get help with this: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers

Thank you

Your welcome.... just an FYI, being that you are infected, further help cannot be performed in this section of the forum, you need to follow my instructions above to get cleaned up before further help can be provided here... that being said, the antivirus programs you have listed...

AV: McAfee Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware (Enabled - Up to date) {ADA629C7-7F48-5689-624A-3B76997E0892}
AV: Ad-Aware Antivirus (Disabled - Out of date) {D87B6541-12A1-DAEA-0033-9B8057AAB996}
AV: Windows Defender (Disabled - Up to date) {D68DDC3A-831F-4fae-9E44-DA132C1ACF46}

And you also have AVG (or some of its components installed)

One of the experts can help you with resolving all your issues including helping you with removing the un-needed and out-dated antivirus programs.

Your biggest concern now it to get the computer cleaned up and the malware removed, so please follow my instructions in my previous reply.
