MattInLA Posted July 12, 2014 ID:851932 Share Posted July 12, 2014 Hi, I would like to remove Chameleon, it's a very old 1.62 version anyway and I don't want to install the new one, Malewarebytes runs fine. This is a very sophisticated tool that installs as a hidden service, installs a system driver and most probably its own protected bootloader, and is even discovered as a rootkit, according to GMER. All well and good. This means that only Malwarebytes has the correct tool to remove this product. I'm surprised there is no information on the forum or anywhere else covering this. If you have an older version then you can run the following to remove old components and reinstall the latest version of the product Please uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest version.
