offline update 3 months outofdate

Hi

 

 

(I use windows XP.  As a policy, I keep all my computers offline. i.e. NO internet connection. I have no access to online computer)

 

I have 2 mbam problems:

 

                                         Problem  ONE:

mbam-rules.exe

is always over 90 days behind

.

 

 

                                         Problem TWO:

 

with the latest free mbam main program installed.

I kept getting a balloon reminding me the  database is out of date

At first I could click away that obnoxious balloon.

Eventually the balloon just stuck obstinately on my screen, no matter what I did or clicked.

so

I had to uninstall the free mbam main program

For Problem 1...

Manual Update

Just very recently available there has been a change were you can now download an offline updater.

There is a new mbam-rules link: =>HERE<=

The link will download of 1 zip file, where the name of the file is mbam-rules-YYYY-MM-DD.zip

Something to note:
• There are 2 files now:
o Mbam-rules.exe
o Mbam2-rules.exe
•They are specific to the version, so mbam-rules is for any MBAM 1.x installation whereas mbam2-rules is for any MBAM 2.x installation.

•In the future it will have a README included with instructions for users, but for now it is only the executables.

For Problem 2....

This has already been reported, and they are working on a future version that will give you more control over all notifications for Malwarebytes, where they can be turned on or off depending on your preferences.
