Error submitting a support request/ High CPU and memory load

Recommended Posts

When submitting a support request using the web form for business support, the page redirects to a 500 error. There is no confirmation email.

The content of my support message follows. Please also note the high CPU usage in the attached image along with the referenced memory issue.

We are seeing an increasing amount of issues with PCs becoming unresponsive due to the RAM usage of mbam.exe. Some PCs have up to 4 mbam.exe processes running at once at about 150MB of memory each.

Our PCs meet the system requirements listed on your website.

We had the schedule set to do an hourly quick scan and a weekly full scan.

Are we hurting ourselves with so many quick scans?

Do you have a scan schedule that can be recommended for us?

Hi gbagwell,

What version of Malwarebytes are you running on these clients?

Do you run these clients in a terminal server environment?

Regarding your scan schedule, an hourly Quick Scan is probably a little too often.  I would say once or twice a day would be fine for Quick Scans.
